I think the color of your car helps with the black. Looks good!

The extra holes you see in the rubber are for these. 1973 US bumpers...  
Lost them a while back and just so happen to find them in a shoebox.
Wish I didn't have to use them, but will have to until I get replacement rubber.
Plan to take more pics tomorrow when sun is out to get a better feel for it and get the red to jump out.

yeah im usually against the black out look but on his color merc it just works perfectly

That looks great! I am wondering how it would look like if the, what used to be chrome, frame of the grille was in body color and only the "grille" of the grille black.

I think it really looks great too! The black finish looks very neat.

Now I think you should paint your wheels in the same black... no more worries about brake dust either...
