These people also reanodise aluminium trim, for the pieces above the headlights and indicators i was quoted 200. This will be done as i refuse to reinstall my new headlights and indicators with sand blasted trim above them Tongue

I assume for that price they are going to remove the annodising, polish, and re-anodise - correct ?

No idea, but ive seen the quality of their work, the anodised trim comes up just like the bumpers, ie, awesome.

At long last I've started reassembling the front of my car.

The oil all over the ground, that covered a 4 square meter area is all from the power steering pump when we started the car with all the plumbing removed - A ridiculous amount of mess from what seems like such a small reservoir  Roll Eyes

Cant install the lights yet as I've not done the anodising of the bits above it, there was a massive headache with the bumper which had to take priority. It simply did not fit together the first time after rechroming as it had rust repairs done that made the bumper centre interfere with the support bracket. It was then returned to the shop where it was fixed free of charge and it now fits together like a glove on a hand.

A big thumbs up to Tj for his assistance in this installation - A big thumbs down for telling me my timing chain tensioner is fully extended - yet more work to do  Roll Eyes

Are those rubber strips new or resuscitated?

They are indeed 29 year old original items, it takes about an hour of work per pair to get them to look like this, and the rubber is soft and flexable, just like new. But certainly not so, before the treatment.

I guess its a lot of effort to save a couple of dollars but it was satisfying in its own right Smiley

Cheers Wink

I'm going to need the genuine licence plate mounts as i had the holes repaired that someone drilled in a past life.

Time to hunt for oscars post on the subject - if i remember correctly he had the part number advertised.
