Those prices seem reasonable.  The rechroming is similar in price to what is charged here.  I'm sure the visual effect is well worth the money.  I'm most interested in the adonising results.

from what i can see, the anodizing they do looks pretty damn good aslong as the items arent overly pitted or scratched. I may need to source again, some second hand items in better condition than what i have to get anodized.

What is it that you are having anodised ? Is it the door frame "chrome" strips and/or something else ? Photos of before and after would be great.

i have been away for a bit but i know that a rechroming place down here in Hawaii is crazy expensive, they quoted me $600 to rechrome the rear bumper on my 190.

that isnt bad, here on a w116 its 620 for the lower, and 440 the the upper, total 1060 just for the bumpers

ahh, i guess that is just average pricing. i will have to do that since my car is going to be coming out of the paint shop.

I just checked my front bumper, Its also gutted with rust and perforated under the rubber strip, i will also need to replace this one for rechroming.

If you have a view of restoring your car, check under the bumper rubbers - even if your happy with your car currently, there could be hidden cancer silently eating them away. Obviously, this only applies to "rest of world" bumpers, not US ones.
