Power Window Problem

All of my windows have been working since I bought my W116, but the other day I noticed my rear driver's side window wouldn't go down. From either switch (between the front seat or on the door itself), the motor doesn't respond at all. It wasn't struggling in particular before this (except for some"jumpyness" due to age, I think [http://forum.w116.org/mechanicals/jumpy-rear-windows/]).

Is there a normal place to look for a loose connection when this happens?

After reading through some posts, I took apart the switches and cleaned the contacts. They were a little dirty, so it was good to clean them, I suppose. But unfortunately, it did no good.

When I flip the switches, though, I can hear a click of the motor trying to engage, it sounds like. But no movement of the glass.
