what parts on a w116 are chromed plastic ?

other than the triangular mirror covers, which are cheap new, and the old version garnish mouldings between the upper and lower door trims, that are now anodised aluminium & $80 each new anyway.

Electric window switch surrounds - perhaps this mob can chrome them better than the flaky original

good point!

one other thing about those, is that the plastic actually gets chipped out where the tabs in the switch body grip on to it - rendering them forever loose or unable to be used at all.

these seem to be very poorly manufactured accessories and the new ones haven't improved in the slightest.
