I'm putting 126 seats in my 116. They are gray and my 116 is navy inside. Does any body know a good textile paint and how to prep the 126 seats for the respray? I was going to mount the 126 cushions to the 116 seam frame so it will still adjust manually... I hope or use the power motors if the wirings not to complex just mount the switch to the side of the seat like a Jag or a Caddy 0.o  pro opinion on wich would be simpler

pretty sure leather is supposed to be dyed not painted - Wouldn't it be like hard plastic if painted, if paint were even flexible enough to go on anyway.

This is a topic I'm keenly interested in as I have black leather seats that are showing their age. They have lots of stress cracks and wear which shows the base leather color (tan-white). How does one go about dyeing the leather?

haven't tried any of this stuff but there's good photos of before and after using Leatherique in the following thread.

VHT does vinyl and plastic dyes which I thought would be good for MBTex and plastic parts but once again, never tried any myself.

Oscar thanks for posting that.  I was quite certain I was going to have to buy new cushions and leather from GAHH this year to fix my front seats but now I'm not so sure.

Hi all,

Here's a link I stumbled upon. They even have MB colors.
