Press the release button. its on the rear of the backrest and you can feel it under the upholstery. It should be near where the headrest shaft would be.

It's only on one shaft - can't remember which side but it will be in the manual.

The rears (if fitted) have a button in the top of the squab - from memory it is centrally located.

yea on my 79 i have front & rear seat head rest but the 75 only has front head rest, and those are the ones i need to get out! i i just spent another 45 min and 2 cigarettes trying to get them out and i just don't know how ?
