I have recently bought a 70,000 mile 450 from a deceased estate unfortunately without much history. The car seems great and a recent specialist full service only turned up a seized brake caliper and worn steering box. I am interested to know if there are any tell tale signs to approximately ascertain various mileages?
I would have alook at various parts of the car and see what's been replaced and what sort of condition everything is in. How does if feel whilst driving? How worn is the driver's seat and things like that?

Hi Tim
Thanks for your post.
I have only driven the car for a few hundred miles and all seems ok, it floats along nicely & sounds wonderful. Bodywork is all good altough its had some paint over the years. The steering is sloppy and I will sort this by replacing the box. Seats are all good with a small break in the drivers seat, about an inch square. All of the brake calipers have now been replaced. The pedal rubbers still have plenty of tread on. I guess driving it over the next few months will be the key to properly ascessing it but so far so good.
