Title: Any Centra Wheel Experts? What Do I Have?
Post by: Squiggle Dog on 08 March 2010, 06:13 PM
I have two sets of 15"X7" wheels.

One set is a Centra brand but the stars on the center caps look bigger than any other set I have seen. I am looking for at least one center cap for this set.

The second set looks like the Centra wheels but has no brand name on them. I wonder who made them. The center caps are very nice but the stars are smaller than the first set.

How many different size stars did Centra make on their center caps? Are the 15" and 16" center caps the same size?

I wouldn't consider myself an expert, but I do know that the Centra wheels didn't actually come with stars fitted. You could fit whatever you wanted, or just have plain centre caps.

Centra wheels were not Mercedes specific, and can be found on other makes of cars. In fact, that very pattern (above) was optional on Holden Commodores of the era, in the HDT list of options.

That mirror finish makes those wheels fit in with the current fashion quite nicely. There is a bit of an '80s revival going on. 8)
