W116.org

On EBAY (item 8035001067) is an "AMG speedometer" for W116; I'm after one of these (rarer than rocking horse poo) and would bid on it BUT I'm suspicious its a fake; actually I'm certain it is but thought I'd seek others opinion; if you have time, check it out and let me know what you think; I note the "AMG" logo is NOT the same as the one on that magnificent Blue W116 6.9 that Michael photographed; and there is no tacho (an AMG without a tacho??? no way!);

It is proably not possible to be sure it is a fake or not but I have never seen another one like it. Would AMG have altered their logo if a customer paid for it to be a certain style?

As for the lack of tacho, I wouldn't rule it out because of that. Just as someone could have put a full AMG kit on a 280S, someone may have had the AMG speedo available and used it on the only car they had. Perhaps it was within their budget. I would be surprised if it was AMG fitted though.
