AMG Rims Painted?

Should I have the center of my AMG Monoblocks painted the same colour as my car, Brilliant Red?

I think we all need pictures of your car and wheels to give proper advice, but I am all for the red painted chrome and wheels. Just add a front air dam of your choosing to help complete the look imo.

You mean Monoblocks as in the AMG "Hammer" type?

Yes, that would look incredible.  I dig the old school hubcaps myself but if I were to go with Pentas I would probably paint them like this...

Those are like the monoblocks on my car.

I know I have seen the monoblocks painted red somewhere but haven't seen it again in a while

My car originally came with the painted hub caps which do match the body colour. Keeping the original colour scheme is why I am considering painting the center of the rims.

personally i find all photos posted are very nice , just chose what you feel closer to your personal taste.

I have seen them in red in a photo that Greg in Oz posted on Ozbenz in my thread on my AMG. Back in the early 80's he photographed this red AMG 500SEC at the Sydney motor show on the MB display. Got kids arriving in the next few minutes for a party and my wife is panicking or I would search for it now! But I think painting the centres is so 'period' with the polished alloy rims - takes me back to being a teenager and drooling over that look.

Definitely think they look good painted.

I have got AMG wheels, but have the similar Ronal pentas.


I've planned to finish them nicely with a bit of paint and buffing. I bet yours would look very nice done up
