Gents,

The link here (hope it works, my first attempt at this) is a shining example of optimism in my view, if you read the,  ah... explanations at the bottom the seller is actually of the opinion that the gold car is 'more or less roadworthy'. He sounds serious too, I'm tempted to go have a look just for the entertainment value  ;D

look like regular keepers, that is if you like the barney rubble car. those fricken cars have so much rust im sure the floorpan will fall out and you can run your feet along.
further, the white one is not a 280, or it would have the rectangular headlights, not the round ones seen on the 4 cylinder cars and diesels.
one can also deduce that it looks like the best bits have been stripped off to put on the blue one in the background perhaps.

regardless, he does offer to show you the cars so thats fair enough.

I thought you guys were way off, talking about a "2 for 1" auction of two decent 280SEs for sale on ebay aus I saw last night.  Then I clicked on the link after rereading Nathan's headlight and diesel comments.  Don't mean to be rude to the seller but it reminds me of the assumption along the lines of "it's a benz so you must be rich" or "it's a benz so it must be collectable".  It should be a $1 NR starting price ad and the seller should be thankful if and when someone comes to take them away.
