Popped into Repco on Great Eastern Highway, Perth (Hey Bill, if you did not get those BP6ES NGK spark plugs with screw off ends they are now 16 more short of them  ;) ) and picked up a Head Set which did not have a CD player for the partners car .

It was very shallow in depth, very light, looked good and had a USB port, 3.5mm MP3 socket and a slot for a SD card as well as the AM/FM tuner, detachable face and a remote control unit (obviously for when in the back seat with the darling and in need of some mood music all of a sudden  ;D ) All this for $69 cool  8)

It was fitted last night and just received an SMS from the missus saying it is fantastic  :o

The LED lighting is a bit Dot-matrix (actually its very dot-matrix) but if you want a sound unit without the CD player expense and maintenance and you go off the beaten track a lot (or drive on Wheatbelt roads) this would be the ideal piece of equipment IMHO

ummmmmmm, that Becker is looking pretty old right now..................................

AFAIK, it's only the resistor plugs that don't have the removable ends. I've had no problems getting the BP6ES and actually have BP7ES in the 6.9 at the moment, all with removable ends.

BP7ES? that's going colder isn't it???

There were some posts going around last year saying the screw off ends were being phased out as people buying their normal NGK spark plugs found they had solid ends.

Mentioned this to our local handy man and he was convinced that if this was the case he could lathe the ends down  :o

Looks like an email to the spark plug companies is in order  8)

PS anyway, i have enough NGKs for the 450 to out live me at the moment  ::)

PPS were definitely 'Off Topic' here  ;D will see what response from the spark plug company i get and start this in a new post  :)
